The publication of these piano sheet music booklets is part of a project dedicated to classical arrangements of timeless Israeli and traditional songs. It aims to bridge the gap between classical music and Israeli and traditional heritage.      .

Doron Toister grew up steeped in classical music and only later encountered Israeli and Jewish music through school events, the radio, and Israeli daily life. Feeling a gap between these traditions, he set out to bridge them. These books offer a long-awaited solution—providing accessible classical material based on the cherished songs students know and love.

The arrangement was inspired by Baroque polyphony, spanning classical, romantic, and jazz accompaniment styles. It also features quotes from renowned composers, such as Chopin’s Prelude woven into the accompaniment of "Shem Harei Golan" ("There are the Mountains of Golan"), among others.
